#MedievalTwitter #ShakeRace #RaceB4Race #Bigger6 #BiPOC18 #VicPOC #POC19 #LitPOC Medieval White Rage. This is literally a condensed version of a chapter in my book Alt-Medieval. A book by the way that I am slowing revising b/c (since it's Mental Health Awareness Month) of PTSD 1/

I have an excellent therapist, but it's still trauma work. I discuss this in this podcast which dropped this month. So this entire alt-medieval group have their own medieval, white supremacist 4chan space called Medieval Studies: State of the Field. 2/ podcast.digitalmedievalist.org/episode-5-glob…

Paul Halsall started it b/c he couldn't stop himself from saying racist things @ me & other BIPOC medievalists in medieval FB groups. He got kicked out. The group includes Rachel Fulton Brown. Academic medievalists have been talking & liking her comments there for years. 3/

If you need a primer of RFB & her best buddy Milo, you can start with Joseph Bernstein's piece from 2017 which is a base primer & based on email correspondence. 4/ buzzfeednews.com/article/joseph…

This was identified in 2017, so do not tell MRO or myself that the academics in Medieval 4chan "did not know" etc. But 2017 is important b/c it's where much of this harassment began. It started b/c some "A-S" scholars decided that me posting in a "A-S" group @ CRT but also 5/

Things like the announcement for the Trans Travel Fund & statements about solidarity from SMFS to our transgender colleagues after the NC bathroom bill in a medieval studies group (since I was secretary of SMFS & in charge of communication). A moderator erased those posts. 6/

Two of the moderators were "A-S" grad. students at ASNC in Cambridge. They decided that this was not enough & started to send poison pen letters to medieval scholars internationally about me. You can read up about that here. 7/: inthemedievalmiddle.com/2017/08/mediev…
