Day 6 of #Coast2Coast: Shap to Orton. Short stage (only 8 miles). Not in Lake District any more! (Though in fact still in Westmorland.)
Limestone country, with views of the Pennines ahead. And a SSSI flower meadow.
Orton is pretty.
Heart in the right place, too (133 years ago).
Though I can’t work out why this hotel hasn’t survived.
