Hi #Bangalore, I am delivering ration kits anywhere in town. Each kit has:

Sanitary pads 8pcs

Oil 500ml

1kg Sugar

1 bottle peanut butter
100g coriander pdr
100g sambar pdr
100g turmeric pdr
100g chili pdr
I am open to customising the kits to include specific supplies.
I have been working with:
Let's be the change
The concerned for welfare of children
Aneka
Karnataka Janashakti
Armour of Care
State Workers Action Network
@readingkafka (Rural development department) for a bit.
I'm doing this at a personal capacity with funds collected from office & friends (some from here :))
If there is a need, please message.
If you feel like contributing, DM me.
From little I've observed, the need is massive. For labourers, children whose parent(s) have passed away,
people living in slums, people below poverty line...all drastically impacted by COVID.
I'll try my best to keep things as transparent as possible by giving you an account of how the funds are being used and where/how many kits are being delivered. Thanks!
House looks like a godown,
Because stuff is about to...go down.

Procurement done for the most part. Finally, getting down to making the kits
One fellow is amped about about deliveries (it's more about the trolley, though).
We're delivering 30 kits today.
15 to The Concerned for Children's Welfare (who will then distribute it to those in need like LBS nagara migrant field, Slums near temple and masjid areas etc.).
15 to Roopa with Sahaya Hastha.
11kg per kit. 330kg of stuff.
Thank you wonderful people of @bounceshare @vivekanandahr (Archana, Venu, Arun, Renu, Velankanni) for helping with the vehicle, loading and delivering the kits ❤️
I have to share this story!
I reached out to employees in Cargill to get edible oil at a reasonable price. Edible sunflower oil (1l)constitutes 22-25% of the total cost of the ration kit.
@Sporty_Baba had already given me a lead and I have purchased stuff in bulk from them. But
I am trying companies to donate, if possible. I literally cold invited/messaged ppl on Linked. One fine gentleman by the name of Divy Ninad Kaul at Cargill accepted my invite and told me he'd help. He forwarded my message to some folks and made them abt the ration kits. This was
Day before yesterday. Today afternoon, I received 9 cases (108 1l pouches) at my doorstep. FOR NO COST!
I can't tell you how nice people have been and how they really want to help out. This is a great gesture. May they prosper and stay healthy :')
+ this letter.
To put it in perspective, these are easily priced at 180 Rs/pack. Nearly 19.5k worth of oil. I can now provide 28-29 extra ration kits.
Hats off to them for this gesture. If anyone knows Divy, please hug him for me.
I have thanked him on whatsapp already :)
15 kits to a slum area in Dasarahalli. Thank you @readingkafka for connecting me with various people, who are doing fantastic work on the ground, distributing the kits. Harshini is coordinating the deliveries in Dasarahalli and she's doing a top job!

Uma-->connects with partner NGOs --> I get to know abt requirements --> send kits --> NGOs distribute. Either way, glad to get to know a lot of wonderful people who are working day in and day out to address folks in need and severely affected by Covid. ❤️
30 'jumbo' (2x) kits.
15 --> the concerned for welfare of children.
15 --> Vani with Stranded workers action network (SWAN). Thank you @NadjaNadika for connecting!
The kits got a boost (getting that out of the drafts), thanks to company 😬
And these...
Over 1000 sachets! I'm putting four (any one) per kit.
