This article from @jamesmassola is absolute nonsense.
Apparently, Morrison is cool because he plays Pool with his Junior ministers and Albo isn't cool... because... well... Murdoch and Costello said he isn't.
A thread. ⬇️⬇️

Almost the entire first half of this article (about @AlboMP) is actually about Scott Morrison and how great he is.
The bar for greatness is low though - all you have to do is play Pool, have the media on your side and refuse to act on rape allegations, vaccines and quarantine.
So what you're saying @jamesmassola is that The Liberal Party have had leadership issues? Massive ones. 3 different Prime Ministers via spills - yet the media has not criticised them for it, despite hounding Labor for this before Abbott was elected.
The budget is a joke. Short term spending measures that vanish post-election. Stage 3 tax cuts and the removal of LMITO will see anyone earning less than 80k worse off.
In any situation where the budget was well received. it's because the media refused to report it accurately.
This is the same dodgy journalisim that the Murdoch rags and their commentators always pull.
Tell everyone Labor sucks and that the Libs will win. Call the election. Praise Morrison etc.
No one likes to vote for a loser, so the politically unengaged with vote Liberal.
This never happens when Morrison screws up! He was in Hawaii, forced handshakes, screwed up quarantine and vaccines, handballed COVID responsibility and practically gave the finger to every woman in Australia.
If a Labor PM did any of that, the media would taken them out.
The media character assassinated Shorten. They have been sowing the seeds of doubt over Albo for the past year at least.
No matter who is in charge of Labor, the media will talk up the other Labor members - even if they have previously hindered them - like they did with Shorten.
We all know that @AlboMP is playing his cards close to the chest so the media can't get in and twist his policies like they did too Shorten.
He may not have 'announced this at the budget reply, but he has made these commitments. You should've made that clear @jamesmassola

.@AlboMP doesn't cut through because the media doesn't let him. They cut away from his pressers, they give him limited air time and they refuse to cover the corruption of this Government.
Ah, so the article is based on nothing. Thanks for admitting that @jamesmassola.
Seriously @jamesmassola? You mention the Rudd-Gillard leadership ordeal but you skip over the revolving door of Prime MInisters that is this Government?
Pathetic & biased journalism!

Oh. So that's why the Pool game was mentioned. 🙄🙄🙄
The low popularity of Labor leaders is mainstream media's self-fulfilling prophecy.
Deny the Labor leader airtime
Run stories about how weak they are
Run stories about how they can't win
Give positive coverage to alternative leaders
When the leader changes, start again
