Yale, British Columbia - Wikipedia

The town was founded in 1848 by the Hudson's Bay Company as Fort Yale by Ovid Allard, the appointed manager of the new post, who named it after his superior, James Murray Yale, then Chief Factor of the Columbia District. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yale,_Bri…

In its heyday at the peak of the gold rush, it was reputed to be the largest city west of Chicago and north of San Francisco. At the end of the journey, Yale remained in Fort Langley, where he worked as a clerk until he replaced Archibald McDonald as chief trader on February 20,

1833. He continued there until his retirement in 1859.
When Fort Yale was built in 1848, it was named for him.
Yale was distantly related to Elihu Yale. On February 2, 1688, Elihu Yale decreed that henceforth, slaves should be examined by the judges of the choultry before being

transported. Transportation of young children, in particular, was made unlawful. Beyond this, the nature of Yale's involvement in the slave trade remains disputed. During Yale's presidency, a plan for setting up a corporation in Madras was conceived by Josiah Child, the Governor

of the East India Company, in a letter addressed to the factors at Madras on 28 September 1687. The Eagle and Child, nicknamed The Bird and Baby,[1] is a pub in St Giles' Street, Oxford, England, owned by St. John's College, Oxford and operated by Mitchells & Butlers as a

Nicholson's pub.[2] The pub had been part of an endowment belonging to University College since the 17th century. It has associations with the Inklings writers' group which included J. R. R. Tolkien and C. S. Lewis. In 2005, 25 other pubs had the same name. The membership of the

Inklings changed over the years, Tolkien, for example, drifted away from the meetings in the late 1950s.[11] But Lewis, who had lived around Oxford since 1921, was a central figure until his death in 1963. The Eagle and Child was modernised/modernized in 1962, with the pub being

extended to the rear. The Rabbit Room's former privacy was inevitably destroyed leading to the group's reluctant change of allegiance to the Lamb & Flag at the other side of St Giles. The Rhodes Trust established the scholarships in 1902 under the terms laid out in the sixth and

final will of Cecil John Rhodes, dated 1 July 1899 and appended by several codicils through March 1902. The Rhodes Scholarships are administered and awarded by the Rhodes Trust, which is located at Rhodes House in Oxford. The Kennedy Scholarship programme, created in 1966 as a

memorial to John F. Kennedy, adopts a comparable selection process to the Rhodes Scholarships to allow ten British post-graduate students per year to study at either Harvard or the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).In 1953, the Parliament of the United Kingdom created

the Marshall Scholarship as a coeducational alternative to the Rhodes Scholarship that would serve as a "living gift" to the United States.

In 2017, the Schmidt Science Fellows programme was launched as a partnership between Schmidt Futures and the Rhodes Trust. Schmidt Science

Fellows is a STEM postdoctoral fellowship awarded annually since 2018 by Schmidt Futures, in partnership with the Rhodes Trust.[1] Former Google chairman and CEO Eric Schmidt, and his wife Wendy Schmidt, fund the fellowship award.

Rupert Murdoch’s ex-wife Wendi Deng, alleged fan of Tony Blair’s rear end, does not look so good in Mark Seal’s juicy new Vanity Fair story about the couple’s divorce. Her descriptions of lust for the former British prime minister — “He has such good body and he has really really

good legs Butt” — were already enough to secure a place in the romance canon for her alleged “passionate note … written in broken English by a woman to herself,” but it turns out there’s more, this time about another alleged Wendi fling, former Google CEO and current executive

chairman Eric Schmidt. He does not come off as well as Tony Blair’s butt. (Rupert’s body is not evaluated.)

In the aforementioned note to herself, Wendi wrote, “Eric fucks Lisa,” presumably referring to Eric Schmidt and Lisa Shields, vice president of media affairs at the

Council on Foreign Relations, whom Schmidt reportedly dated. “Lisa will never have my style, grace … I achieved my purpose of Eric saw me looking so gorgeous and so fantastic and so young, so cool, so chic, so stylish, so funny and he cannot have me. I’m not ever feel sad …

about losing Eric … Plus he is really really ugly. Unattractive … and fat. Not stylish at all try to wear hip clothes … I’m so so soo soooo happy I’m not with him.”In July 2011, Murdoch faced allegations that his companies, including the News of the World, owned by News

Corporation, had been regularly hacking the phones of celebrities, royalty, and public citizens. Murdoch faced police and government investigations into bribery and corruption by the British government and FBI investigations in the U.S.[6][7] On 21 July 2012, Murdoch resigned

as a director of News International.

In its initial years, the channels were broadcast over AsiaSat 1 communication satellite operated by Asia Satellite Telecommunications, which was a consortium of Hutchison Whampoa, China International Trust and Investment Corporation and

Cable & Wireless Worldwide. CITIC Group was founded as the China International Trust Investment Corporation (Chinese: 中国国际信托投资公司; abb. CITIC), a Chinese state-owned enterprise in 1979. In the 1980s, Chinese government founded many for profit corporations, which CITIC

was under the leadership of Rong Yiren, a former businessman and politician at that time, who chose to stay in the Mainland China in the 1950s after his family business was nationalized.[7] His son, Larry Yung,[nb 1] was the former chairman of CITIC Group's listed subsidiary.

Frontier Services Group is

partially owned by CITIC Group, a state-run investment fund owned and controlled by the People's Republic of China. CITIC is FSG's largest shareholder. In 2019, FSG signed contracts to support China's One Belt and One Road initiative, including building a series of bases in

China's Xinjiang, where the internment camps of ethnic Uyghurs attracted widespread allegations of human rights abuse.[2][19] Chinese Communist Party officials in Xinjiang reported that FSG's work would enhance the paramilitary Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps.[19]

FSG's CEO, Dongyi Hua, was the key driver in investing the re-education camps. Frontier Services Group (FSG) is a Chinese Africa-focused security, aviation, and logistics company founded and led until April 2021 by Erik Prince, the former head of Blackwater Worldwide.

FSG's area of service has since expanded to the Belt and Road areas of Africa, Central Asia, and Southeast Asia. It also works with the Chinese paramilitary Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps. Investigators have examined the gift of the 2.8-carat gem Hunter got from CEFE

China Energy founder Ye Jianming in 2017, CNN reported, citing a source briefed on the matter.

Black later served as Chairman of Total Intelligence Solutions (Total Intel), a private intelligence gathering group. This company was created in February 2007 by the Prince Group, the holding company that owns Blackwater. Total Intel was formed by the merger of The Black Group

LLC (also led by Black), Terrorism Research Center, Inc., and Technical Defense.[28] As of 2021, Total Intel has been absorbed by OODA group, a business intelligence and crisis response consulting group. Black appears on the firm's list of consultants. In February 2017, the

Ukrainian oil and gas corporation Burisma announced the addition of Black to the company's board of directors, leading the company's security and strategic development efforts.[32]
In the wake of the Hunter Biden email controversey, a report from The Wall Street Journal

associated Black's role at the firm with a group of "well-connected operatives in Washington to help persuade Ukrainian prosecutors to drop criminal cases against it."Blacks name appears in volume five of the 2020 Senate Intelligence Committee report on Russian interference in

the 2016 presidential elections produced following the investigation by special prosecutor Robert Mueller. Joel Zamel, executive at Psy-Group, an Israeli private intelligence agency specializing in honey traps and perception manipulation campaigns, testified that apart from

their pitch to the Trump Campaign, the firm had proposed projects to three other clients: Russian oligarchs Oleg Deripaska and Dmitri Rybolovlev, and Blackwater founder Erik Prince, whom Black had introduced to Zamel in 2016. In January 2016 Black became an independent director

of publicly traded biotechnology company Northwest Biotherapeutics (NWBO), a Maryland-based development-stage biopharmaceutical company developing cancer immunotherapies.

After the 2016 Trump election win, Zamel's company Psy Group formed a partnership with Cambridge Analytica

to jointly bid for contracts with the American Government.[16] In December 2016, George Nader used WhiteKnight, based in the Philippines, to purchase a presentation demonstrating the impact of social media campaigns on Donald Trump's electoral victory.[

On April 5, 2019 the Senate Intelligence Committee sends letter to Walter Soriano the owner of USG Security Limited based in Britain for his communication with Paul Manafort, Michael Flynn, Psy-Group, Wikistrat, and Black Cube, Orbis Business Intelligence (a firm co-founded by

Christopher Steele). Soriano has links to Oleg Deripaska.[22]
Zamel's firms have completed work for Oleg V. Deripaska and Dmitry Rybolovlev.[Zamel has been represented by Marc Mukasey, who specialises in reputation protection.[23] Mukasey, a former law partner of Rudy Giuliani,

also had President Donald Trump as a client as well as Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump, Eric Trump, and the Trump Foundation in response to the civil lawsuit filed by the New York State Attorney General's Office.as well as Eddie Gallagher a soldier accused of

committing war crimes. The company was founded in 2010 in Israel by Joel Zamel and Daniel Green.[2] After studying counter-terrorism, Zamel founded Wikistrat Inc. and became CEO, while Green came aboard as the company's chief technology officer. Dr. Thomas P.M. Barnett joined the

firm as chief analyst a year later. In 2013, Wikistrat ran a simulation for AFRICOM that explored various futures for illicit trafficking in the Trans-Sahel region of Africa. In mid-2006, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld formed a planning team to advise on requirements for

establishing a new Unified Command for the African continent. In early December, he made his recommendations to President George W. Bush.[18][19]
On 6 February 2007, Defense Secretary Robert Gates announced to the Senate Armed Services Committee that President George W. Bush had

given authority to create the new African Command.[20] U.S. Navy Rear Admiral Robert Moeller, the director of the AFRICOM transition team, arrived in Stuttgart, Germany to begin creating the logistical framework for the command. Moeller, a New Jersey native and son of a World

War II Navy veteran, graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1974, receiving his commission from the Notre Dame NROTC program.
