Massachusetts Government appears to have installed via backdoor access an app on every android phone in the state to track COVID-19.

The govt claims that just because they downloaded it to your device doesnt mean its turned on.
"The presence of this app on the phone does not indicate that MassNotify has been enabled, and MassNotify is not automatically activated."
Users seem to be saying otherwise.
The Govt will likely claim some sort of emergency authorization to support these actiona, though it appears on the surface to be VERY ILLEGAL.
The Mass Govt claims:
"Using this service is 100% voluntary, you can opt out at any time, and the process is privacy-focused. DPH takes your privacy and confidentiality very seriously. No GPS or location information from your phone will ever be collected or used by MassNotify."
They claim no GPS or location data is collected.however, when it downloads it gives itself full permission to utilize all device functions. So if your phone isnon amd pinging a cell tower, guess what is likely being collected via metadata.
Whether this app was successfully downloaded onto the phone of 1 citizen, 100, or 100,000 this is a MASSIVE 4th Amendment/Right to Privacy issue and EVERYONE should be sharing this information, exposing this violation, and pushing for investigation!
