It’s W Series race week! 🎉

A group of 18 talented women will make up the grid along with five reserve drivers. The championship didn’t happen in 2020 so we’re excited to see what happens with some new faces on the grid too!

Here they are… ⬇️

#WomenInMotorsport

First up is the reigning champion @JamieChadwick 👑

The British driver races in @ExtremeELive, is part of the @WilliamsRacing family and won two races in 2019. Chadwick was also the first female to win a @BritishGT Championship, so has shown a lot of talent!

The next driver is @AbbieEaton44 who is one of the new faces on the grid for 2021 🏳️‍🌈

She has been the test driver for @thegrandtour, and is an ambassador for @RacingPrideHQ.

Eaton has raced in the British GT Championship and the Mazda MX-5 SuperCup in 2013 & 2014

British racer @alicepowell is continuing her @WSeriesRacing career this year 🏆

In 2019 she finished third in the championship and was the first woman to score points in GP3 in 2012. You also see Alice trackside as a driver coach and commentating 😎

Another new face is @AylaAgren 👋

The 27-year-old won the F1600 Championship Series (USA) in 2014. Her dream is to race in the #Indy500, and came one step closer when she was a spotter for @ParettaSport this year!

Dutch driver @beitskevisser returns to W Series to fight for more podiums after finishing runner up in 2019.

She is a Richard Mille driver in @FIAWEC, making history in an all-female team competing in the LMP2 category at the @24heuresdumans 💪

21-year-old @belengarciaes is another newcomer to the championship.

In 2019 she raced in the Spanish F4 Championship, and was the first female to win an F4 race in Europe at the second round. If Garcia isn’t at a race track then you will find her pole vaulting! 🙌

.@WSeriesRacing Brazilian driver @brunatomaselli is a new addition too 🇧🇷

She raced in the F2000 National Championship and finished 16th in 2017. In 2019, she moved to Pabst Racing services and finished 8th overall!

Another returning driver is @EmmaKimilainen. The Finn had two podiums in @WSeriesRacing last year and won Assen in 2019 🏆

The 31-year-old has raced in the Scandinavian Touring Car Championships and hosts TV and radio shows in her home country 🇫🇮

Next up is @FWohlwend5!

In 2017 she raced in the Audi Sport TT Cup and has competed in @FerrariRaces - including becoming the first woman to win a race outright for the Coppa Shell class.

She also raced in the 2021 @24hNBR alongside nine other women 🔥

28-year-old @GosiaRdest is another one of the talented drivers.

She was karting professionally by the age of 16 & has competed in many races like @BritishF4, Audi Sport TT Cup and ADAC TCR Germany.

She will be racing in the first two rounds at Austria. 👏

The next new driver is @IraSidorkova 💃

Another returning driver is @mkhouse001 🇯🇵

Previously, she competed in the FIA F4 Japanese Championship. She’s shown some great pace in the 2019 championship and her top finish was fourth so we imagine she wants to get on that podium! 👀
