It is sad, if not surprising, to see an avowed anti-racist group team up with Afzal Khan MP, especially on the topic of extremism.

Khan's Manchester has been disgraced by awful hatred rallies for weeks on end now. And what has he done? Join in. 1/7

And note that he is "proud".

Even when this rally he attended featured blood and "from the river to the sea" chants, comparisons of Israel to "the virus", an invocation of Khomeini, a call for "solidarity with the resistance” (i.e. Hamas), and more. 2/7

While it appears he has nothing to say about the depredations.

And what horrors they are.

Crazed fury in Manchester. "With our soul, with our blood, we will redeem you, al-Aqsa!” "Allahu akbar!" 3/7

"Netanyahu, we know you, Hitler was a killer too." The crowd joins in. No objections. 4/7

"13 Jews control the BBC." The crowd listens dutifully and then starts the chanting again. 5/7

Condemning Hamas rockets is "absolutely disgusting".

"They have the right to fire as many rockets into Israel as they wish."

"We want to march to Marks & Spencers" (evil Zionists, you see). 6/7

Then again, this makes sense. It seems Hope not Hate haven't condemned any of the hatred rallies either.

It is best to know just where we stand. Especially, actually, if it is a dark place. 7/7
