@RachelUTG @PsychMarwaha @sameerjauhar rTMS appears to be effective in adults, but what about adolescents? @PsychMarwaha discusses a recent study looking into this. Is it effective? What are the side effects? #RCPsychIC

@RachelUTG @PsychMarwaha @sameerjauhar The results of this meta-analysis are interesting - all studies analysed showed some effect. The impact on younger people actually appeared to be greater than you might find on older people. Side affects appeared by be relatively mild, says #psychmarwaha at #RCPsychIC

@RachelUTG @PsychMarwaha @sameerjauhar In summary, results are promising but both the quantity and quality of evidence is lacking. Larger, better trials are needed, preferably within the NHS and the sham effect needs to be accounted for, says @PsychMarwaha at #RCPsychIC
