In our undergraduate courses BA History, BA History joint honours, and BA History with languages you can study a wide range of exciting modules on different aspects of modern and contemporary history. Keep an eye on this thread to see what we have on offer!

In your first year, you will have modules that cover the basic groundwork of British, European and Twentieth Century history. One of them is Modern Britain, 1760-2000!

In your second year, you will be able to select modules according to your own interests, but you will also do "The Historian's Craft", in which you will meet all the History team for different sessions and which will prepare you for the dissertation

One of the modules you can do in your second year is History of the Global South, in which you will spend one term studying the history of Latin America and a second term the history of Africa #globalhistory #LatAmhistory #africanhistory

Or maybe you are more interested in the history of the Empire and India? We also offer a module on the closing days of imperial rule

If you have ever wondered what sports can say about culture, politics and society, this module on Sport in Twentieth-Century Britain is for you! #sporthist

You can also select a module on the history of photography! We love old cameras and photos and offer a whole module on how photography has shaped how we see the world 📸 #photohist

When you get to your third year, you will be able to specialise further in the areas that interest you the most. Did you like Latin American history? You can do Environmental History of the Americas! #envhist

Or maybe you enjoyed learning about India and the Empire? Our third-year option Borders and Boundaries examines what happens after...

If you want to know more on the role of sports in society, we also offer a module on Transatlantic Sport #sporthist

You can also study Photography and Conflict, in which we will look at the role of photography in wars, revolutions, protests and social movements #photohist

You can also do a module on History and Heritage to understand how history is all around, in places, people and things

Or actually, what you really like is witchcraft, magic and the supernatural. That's ok! We also have a module on that 👻

That's it for now! These are not all the modules we offer, so keep an eye on this thread as we update it!
