twitter is trying really really hard to get me to follow "topics" and the more I refuse the more strange and desperate they get
One of the funniest things about Twitter trying to get me to follow topics is that the topic will be something like "arts & culture" or "fine art" and then the tweet will be fan art of Loki
Hahaha love to be a theater buff
Fuck I should not have said the word "Loki" in my complaint about how the algorithm keeps trying to show me stuff about Loki. Rookie move. (Also, this isn't even a film review)
Me: I do not like how this site functions as a perpetual outrage and ridicule machine. I wish I could choose to follow only high-minded cultural topics
Twitter: Are you interested in discussing the topic of books?
I was starting to enjoy this thread but this Chrome extension is actually very nice so no more topic suggestions it is. I hope it doesn't remove the two topics I've actually chosen to follow too, but Bob and Taylor will understand
Oh well, the Minimal Twitter extension does not actually remove suggestions to follow Topics. In related news, Twitter thinks I may be interested in following the topic of "careers"
Twitter keeps recommending different topics, but there is only one topic
No matter what your interests, there's a topic for you to follow here on twitter dot com! Visual arts? Film reviews? Progressive rock? Social media? The variety is limitless!
Or perhaps you're more interested in the Topic: Hair Care. Hey, you know who has hair...?
The funny thing is I never once tweeted about L*ki before the algorithm started recommending a constant stream of Hiddlecontent. I had tweeted about W@nd@vision a few times so maybe that's it? But more likely it's that one of the few topics I did decide to follow is Taylor Swift
