The following are snapshots of what life is like today:
•Gas is up 32% over 12 months ago. This costs an average family $800-$1200 more per year (income increased zero)
•On day 4 of 100+ degree weather with 50+% humidity there is no ice to be had—anywhere
•Because Washington was the test-case for mail-in voting Olympia continues to make life incrementally & increasingly more annoying in this predominantly conservative state (minus metro Seattle)
•There is no ammo. We have not seen ammo of any caliber— ZERO AMMO for 18 months
Only pawn shops have a few boxes at 300%-500% markups
•All 3 hardware store & 2 Walmart Super Centers do not have even a box fan for sale
•Basic household items are completely hit & miss. We’ve never recovered from the covid panic buying of 16 months ago. Right now towels are scarce
•The big push for “back the blue” continues while “the blue” arrests parents at school board meetings on a weekly basis. Only a small fraction make national news.
I will not buy another one of these until they start caring about their oath again
There is no bottled water. Anywhere.
Even slingshot ammo is scarce and it’s up over 150% since early 2020
