Good morning! I’m OTG here in Harbor City, where a “Comprehensive Cleanup” (commonly called sweep) is scheduled. There are a lot of rumors that this particular one may be the full encampment.

Looks like these concrete pieces, which were moved weeks ago by LASAN and are still blocking ADA street access are still present. It bears mentioning that the reason for dismantling tents given by LASAN and the city is ADA accessibility on sidewalks.

That should read “often given” - my apologies. City operations *often* bin tents on the sidewalk and the reason is often given that they are blocking ADA access.

Signs left over from a press conference several days ago are still present. The first few vehicles belonging to the city seem to be arriving: one LASAN garbage truck as well as a flatbed truck.

The Harbor District District Director (CD15) driving by - activists from @StreetWatchLA are assisting residents of the Harbor City encampment with moving their belongings in anticipation of a large cleanup.

9 LASAN vehicles(10 if you count the construction vehicle), 1 LAPD cruiser and 1 environmental services truck appear to be staging on 255th and Vermont for the operation.

Things beginning. Additional LAPD units have arrived, LASAN workers are now at the location of the encampment.

One LASAN worker taking photos, says “is this garbage or an encampment?”

LASD deputies here- this is a new development and I’ll follow up on reason and mission here, they have not been present at any comprehensive cleanups here previously.

Not getting much of an answer, but the deputies have left, and apparently were not members of the HOST (Homeless Outreach Services Team)

The operation is now underway- this week is fairly unique in that there are significantly more members of LASAN working, and rather than working from one end to the next there are multiple crews all working concurrently.

Tarps, tents and structures that are left over currently being thrown in the dumpster.

One man, Fanon, remained in his tent. LAPD officers currently kicking some of his belongings out of the way while talking to him.

Fanon was escorted away, and is currently sitting nearby while talking to LAPD officers. The structure and tent he was in before is now being slashed with a knife.

Correction on reporting #: there are still LASD deputies, but they’ve moved to the other side of the road.

Daniel, a resident of the encampment is describing his stated experience of not having a clear place to wait with belongings during the “comprehensive cleanup” where LASD will not allow him to wait with his belongings across the street after LAPD removed him from the encampment.

LASAN moving through the entire encampment and are about halfway through. LAPD now looking at a car which is in the encampment area.

Odds & Enda: Looks like this car situation is going to take some time. Found this jammed in my car window.
