A pro-Palestinian protest outside of Adas Torah is here, blocking entrance. LAPD arriving with less lethal. In Pico-Robertson, Los Angeles, CA.

The area is very tightly packed.

Nominally, the pro-Palestinian faction here to stop a real estate sale in Israel and Gaza. I’ve been unable to independently confirm that the real estate sale is happening.

Matin Mehdizadeh appears to be the culprit that launched at least several of the fireworks via mortar into the encampment at UCLA. He was also involved in at least one press attack.

And according to UC-Davis studies it’s contributing to officers having panic attacks when discovering fentanyl.

LAPD officers have a list of people they are not letting in today for the city hall meeting. They’re citing disruptions, and one person currently being refused entry is an activist.

LA County has expanded cooling centers listed as available today. Unfortunately there is not much information (not even open/close hours) when you use the map feature but there is a list. I’ve screenshotted the map below:

Tomorrow is expected to be hot too, and many cooling centers may not be open despite areas of Los Angeles County being 100+ Fahrenheit.

Further, many unhoused use businesses to quickly lower their temperature which may not be open tomorrow due to Labor Day according to the page.
