Really interesting, cute and horrifying characters on Brazilian TV shows for kids. I remember growing up there and loving most of them, the colors, make up, puppets, and artwork were always interesting. But some characters scared the sh*t out of me, specially one called Fofão.

I loved this one, called Celeste the snake, from a show called Castelo Ra Tim Bum. She spoke with a lovely Sssserpent-like accent and had quite powerful teachings. She was great!

This one was called Caipora from the same show Castelo Ra Tim Bum, and although it wasn't a favorite of mine, I loved her visuals, she had a 80's Cindy Lauper vibe and really cool colors and materials. Great costume art.

Those are Visconde de Sabugosa (with a hat) and Emilia (a living doll) they are characters from a show called "Sitio do pica-pau amarelo", which is a show that had many versions, I always loved their visual styles, the artwork and colors. It's all based on Brazilian folklore.

Those are characters from a show called Cocorico, it was a weird show but the puppets were really well done for that time. There were some international kids content/shows that were later heavily inspired by this fellas. They look cool!

This one is weird! It's from early 80s and it was a weird concept to start with but it really succeed on TV. They're characters from a show called Glub Glub, it stayed on air forever. And it was quite a bold/innovative use of chroma for a low budget periodic 80s kids show.
