I totally missed the fact that @aaronjmate, on the Grayzone YouTube channel, recently had a fawning interview with Douglas Macgregor, a right-wing American Conservative contributor, to promote Russia’s angle on the Ukraine crisis. See below for some of Macgregor’s greatest hits.

Macgregor was nominated by Trump as ambassador to Germany, appointed by the Donald to the Westpoint Academy board, and was a senior official in Trump's Department of Defense, where he was tasked with the US withdrawal from Afghanistan…

He pushes white genocide conspiracy theory, saying of Biden’s immigration policies: “they have to bring in as many non-Europeans as possible in order to outnumber the numbers of Americans of European ancestry who live in the US… a deliberate policy to enact demographic change."

As well as supporting Putin’s geopolitical ambitions and loads of xenophobic rants about Mexico, Aaron Maté’s guest Douglas Macgregor has a long record of pretty horrific Islamophobia. cnn.com/2021/05/27/pol…

I mean Grayzone was originally supposed to be about combating Islamophobia but they’ve long since embraced anti-Muslim bigotry with wide open arms.

And I hadn’t noticed that the guest on the next issue of Aaron Maté’s show on the Grayzone channel, last week, was Tim Anderson. Ostensibly a left-winger, Anderson has form for hanging out with Nazis…
