Cybersecurity exec who created the federal government's automated cyberattack warning system was murdered about a week ago.
Her 26-year old son has now been arrested for the murder.

She was a major player in cloud security & worked for US Securities & Exchange Commission, FEMA, NIST & DOD.
Seems weird that this may be just a family dispute...

I also found it very weird that not a single article on the story mentioned the name of her ex-husband, but he was her co-founder on Cyberwolf which was sold to Semantic & is a major federal cybersecurity tool.

But in searching for him, he is a ghost on the internet...

Not unusual for a DoD cybersecurity contractor to have good OPSEC & a low profile on the internet. But I can't find much at all.

Even the news articles from 2002 when Symanec (Norton Security) bought CyberWolf from them only mention her name not his.
Weird for the co-founders that they only mention her...

Only thing I found was this company founded by Glenn R. Beach. Details are slightly different from his wife's bio & companies. Looks like they had a lot of small defense * intelligence industry start ups...
cyberwt.com

Huh, this business was started with seed money from the NSA small business program office...

Swampy, swampy, swampy...

Seems Arlington Capital Partners partnered with Beach, grew his business through IC & military contracts & a few 'acquisitions' of other defense contractors, then sold the entire package to KBR last year for almost $900M.

His new business involves a partner named "Dr. Candace Clary" who is also a ghost on the internet...

Checked out their website on the internet archive & their website was just an under construction page from 2014-2019...

So all this tech & aerospace stuff.

Then in 2015, Beach starts working with a retired Marine Col. who has invented a new firearms silencer technology.

Weird but probably lucrative if you sell it as a wonder weapon to the military contracting system...

So let me get this straight, someone invested more than $20M into R&D on this silencer over more than 20 years. Ultimately leading to 38 years of R&D to bring it to market in 2020?
Who does that? No investor would dump $20M of private funding into that for 20 years...

Yeah, selling it at as the next wonder weapon needed by US war fighters!

All aimed at Swampy defense dollars, but the kicker is at the end.

CWT is more than happy to just take a cut from a larger defense contractor if the agency involved wants to line their Swampy pockets too!

My what a wide list of Swampy fedearl contract codes you have...

Beach's websight claims he was cofounder of TCOM LP, a surveillance balloon company formed in 1971 that has a ton of military & intel contracting.

He also founded Paradigm Technologies LLC to do intelligence community work, but I can't find much on the company & it may no longer exist or at least under that name. Seems to be a trend of building a Swampy contracting start up then selling it to a defense contractor.

His other company PAE ISR LLC sells UAV's to the feds including doing R&D for DHS border security efforts. They also sponsor AUSA, a good networking site for retired Generals with defense contract connections...

This is interesting, a few weeks ago they posted job opening for hihgly experienced counterintelligence investigators with TC/SCI clearances. I'd guess only recently retired FBI CI members would qualify...

Back to Juanita Koilpillai, her current venture was as CEO of Waverley Labs. It looks like another case of a small company that exists for a long time in the background, then suddenly pops onto the scene with huge connections & energy, infrastructure & government contracts...

Much of their R&D was funded by the Swamp: DOD, DHS, Army, Navy & Air Force.
Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Air Force Research Labs (AFRL)
Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA)
Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)
Joint Battle Center (JBC).

She then founded a company named Resiliant in June of 2021 using a DHS grant to fund it & bring her security software to the public.

She also founded a non-profit educational foundation for schools to create programs to teach kids how to identify social problems & solve them with entrepreneurial skills.

Interestingly Twitter won't let me post the link because they say the site is potentially harmful!
