Tesla still has the *production* electric car record because you can’t buy one of these.
As a matter of fact, the one-seater you’re looking at here is the one and only VW ID R ever made.
It cost VW a mint and it’s not for sale.
And here’s the only other electric car with a faster time than the Model S Plaid (it’s also not a production car).
Good luck finding one of the 6 Nio ever made. 😂🤣 I couldn’t find how much they cost, but probably more than a Tesla.

Nio sold the EP9 for £2.5M GBP each. 💸
You could buy a lot of Teslas with that kind of money.
And the EP9 does 0-60 in 2.7 seconds. 👀
