#JohnnyDepp appeared as Raphael in the 1997 film 'The Brave,' which he cowrote with his brother Daniel Depp, based on the novel of the same name by Gregory McDonald; he also directed & produced the film, as well. This was his final film with Marlon Brando.
Mr. Depp was deeply upset at negative reviews by American critics attending an otherwise successful screening at the Cannes Film Festival in 1997. As a result, he refused to release the film in North America, to this day; he holds the North American Rights to the film.
'The Brave' is available for purchased via Amazon (availability to come countries may vary.) There is the DVD/Blu-Ray theatrical version of the film an extended version of the film (approximately 8 minutes) longer. The film is also available for rent/purchase & free on Vimeo.
