¯\_(ツ)_/¯ They still think a toothbrush is merely an applicator for #fluoride. Which is wrong. Manual disruption and disorganization of plaque prevents tooth decay.
Not bioavailable #fluorine...

Bass observed that it takes a little more than twenty four hours for the zoogleal mass to organize into a state where disease occurs. -|- "Frequency of brushing is important. Brushing should occur twice daily as a minimum"

Once a day before bedtime is enough. More than once will not hurt, but is not necessary.

Still rolling on tradition, not science.

They advise we put something in a child's mouth, that they are NOT SUPPOSED TO SWALLOW.

"Adult involvement ensures the correct amount of toothpaste is used, enables them to prevent children eating or licking toothpaste from the tube & that all teeth are brushed thoroughly."

So, it doesn't work for caries, but does for gum disease?-|- "Physical removal of plaque is the important element of toothbrushing for preventing or controlling periodontal (gum) diseases for the general population"

Must not read much of the literature. -|- "There is no high-quality evidence regarding the best times of the day to brush in order to maintain healthy gums"

C. C. Bass, MD 1948 - "People go to dentists for treatment of the advanced stage of caries and periodontoclasia from which nearly all loss of teeth results. They do not know or properly evaluate the fact that the lesions, representing more or less irreparable damage, ..."

" ... could have been prevented."

Sheesh. Doing the same thing the same way... -|-
"Effective toothbrushing with a fluoride toothpaste is important to support oral health. The physical action of brushing removes plaque, which prevents gingivitis and periodontitis, ..."

" ... and the #fluoride in toothpaste is effective against tooth decay."
🙄
Over dependence on the almighty #fluoride, trusting it to prevent tooth decay is the problem. Control for brushing, just put the gunk in your mouth and see if it works...

Since their "primary #prevention did not work?

Kind of like "largely preventable" largely, or largely a waste of time largely?

We tracked down the citation. What does "Final_Clean as submitted" mean? Logos removed?

Pretty much.

Commercial determinants of ill health in action.

There is a lot of money in keeping the fiction alive.

Are they an advertising arm nowadays? They are promoting commercially motivated nostrums, that for over fifty years have shown to be abject failures.
Look around. Decades of pain, suffering and lost teeth, because money.

Recent sheep dipping does not help them hide their tracks.

They ought to be ashamed. They are not. However, those with ears will hear...

"Combating the commercial determinants of oral diseases and other NCDs should be a major policy priority."
pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31327370/

The responsible parties who are aiding and abetting this travesty.

Pity the patients.

The commercial bandwagon rolls on, wheels greased with toothpaste.

And the beat goes on...

Commercial determinants of ill health.

Are killing us, and our teeth.

It needs to stop. Really. Remember "primum non nocere"?
