The decreasing trend of #COVID19 in the country is continuing. Around 60% of the total cases in last week were reported from Kerala. Absolute no. of cases coming down in Kerala too, though the state contributes a substantial number of cases in the country: Secretary, @MoHFW_INDIA

The active cases are also continuously decreasing in the country. Cumulative Recovery Rate is continuously rising, it is currently at around 98%: Secretary, @MoHFW_INDIA

Kerala has the maximum of 1,44,075 ( which is >52%) active cases in the country, followed by Maharashtra at 40,252 active cases, and then Tamil Nadu, Mizoram, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh: Secretary, @MoHFW_INDIA

15-16 lakh #COVID19 tests are being done everyday in the country. The number of tests done everyday has not reduced. In that context, the rate of positivity is coming down. Weekly positivity is less than 3% for 13th consecutive week: Secretary, @MoHFW_INDIA

The number of districts having more than 5% #COVID19 case positivity has come down. There are only 48 districts today which have a case positivity of more than 5%: Secretary, @MoHFW_INDIA

More than 88 crore vaccine doses have been administered. Out of these, 64 crore+ are first dose, while 23 crore+ are 2nd dose

99% healthcare workers, 100% frontline workers and 69% population aged above 18+ have received the first dose

Rural areas have had more vaccinations than urban areas, which is proportional to the rural-urban population ratio

52.1% males and 47.9% females have taken the #COVID19 vaccine

At present, an average of 79.08 lakh vaccines are given per day

Festivities are on the horizon and people are planning to travel which is linked with festivals or holidays. Increased population density in any area, associated with travel, increases the chances of infection to tourists, local population as well as travellers: DG, @ICMRDELHI

It will be prudent to avoid non-essential travel and observe festivities, but at a low-key, atleast this year emphasized DG, @ICMRDELHI
