I am very fond of the idea that LWJ always felt alphas simply Smell Bad. After he presented as an omega, he didn't even want to sit next to an alpha because 🤢😖🙄

In fact, he doesn't like the smell of ANYONE except his blood relatives.
During his first few heats, he can't tolerate anyone's scent but LXC's. His brother's scent is calming and it makes him feel safe, but everyone else's scent makes him feel agitated and threatened.
And he just assumes that's How It Will Be for the rest of his life. He'll probably never be able to marry, because other people's smells are Gross, and alpha's scents are Especially Gross, and it's okay because he's Used To Being Alone, etc.
And then poor little fifteen-year-old LWJ meets WWX and gets a whiff of his scent, and he's immediately like 😵💫😵💫😵💫
WWX is training in the courtyard with the other disciples. They're practicing sword forms. WWX wipes the sweat off his face with a towel, and happens to toss the towel near LWJ, and LWJ almost passes the fuck out.
LWJ's libido: HNNNNNGGHHH. 😍😳🤤🔞
LWJ's higher brain function, trying desperately to regain control: Promiscuity is forbidden. 😭 Lechery is forbidden. 😭 Morality is the priority. 😭 Do not pounce on guest disciples and rip off their clothes, or Shufu will be very mad. 😭
Fifteen-year-old LWJ: Hmph. Why are omegas supposed to find alphas' repulsive scents attractive? Who would find such a rank odor APPEALING? 🙄

And, listen. I think LWJ tries his BEST. I think he recites the rules, alone in his bedroom, until he's blue in the face.
But I also think WWX has a Mysterious Experience where about 25% of his laundry goes missing while he's studying in Cloud Recesses. 🤔
He sends it out for washing, just like all the other disciples. But it doesn't come back?? The servants say they never received his dirty laundry??? They give him replacement robes, but the problem happens again!
JC says that WWX has been such a troublemaker, the servants are probably trying to punish him for being rude to their second young master. Maybe the Lans even told the servants not to work too hard when it comes to his laundry and meals!
WWX admits this might be true. 😔
