I first heard of the Council for National Policy from @amandablount2. I wrote about it > learning that a few too many dubious election results in the US since 2000 have involved CNP members or CNP award recipients (& other Religious Right members). 1/ extranewsfeed.com/americas-talib…

Quite frankly, it scared the bejeezus out of me. 2/

/ Some of this stuff just blew my mind.

/

/ This is how I knew what the plans were for public education too. I had assembled all of this research back in 2017 or 2018.

/ it’s one of those organizations where the more you dig, the worse it gets

/ Bannon & KellyAnne - both from Cambridge Analytica, both in the CNP 2014 directory.

/ Anyway, I came at the CNP initially mostly from an elections angle. But when all the CRT stuff came up, I thought that it sounded like the type of “moral outrage” fabrication that would make CNP member Morton Blackwell (who runs the Leadership Institute) proud.

/ And then I read this @RightWingWatch piece that showed, why yes, he is involved. rightwingwatch.org/post/the-right…

/ So I started looking into the CNP’s involvement in all of the education BS only to discover there was huge overlap with the people behind the insurrection. They are basically the same operation.

/ Anyway, that is how I knew about the CNP.

/ Meanwhike, @anelsona had written a whole book and several articles about the CNP. This one about the CNP & the insurrection. washingtonspectator.org/nelson-cnp/

/ And @BrentAllpress had obtained a slew of CNP directories.

/ And @duboo had done some excellent CNP work too. exposedbycmd.org/2021/01/08/chr…

/ @jimstewartson is another good CNP follow.

/ @davetroy also has good posts about the CNP.
