Let's start with when many of us, at least me, first saw Tyler Shamedro. It's even more cringe now and was a perfect preview for the incompetence and utter embarassment that he was to inflict on us as a province as health minister. Link to article cbc.ca/news/canada/ed…
Shandro was the general in the continuing war on doctors, and other HCWs, in this province. His desperate need to impose his and Kenney's will, to cut and damage our system, went back and forth, angering anyone paying attention, and culminating in Shandro tearing up the contract
Resulting in shandro being one of the most untrusted and untrustworthy of the lot (very hard to achieve considering all the other UCP deplorables) In a survey, 98% of docs in an AMA referendum said they have no confidence in Shandro.. still seems about 2% lower than it should be.
The tearing up of the contract as well as details about his wife's company, Vital partners (private health company), raised serious questions about Shandro's ethics and a conflict of interest. A doctor, who was a UCP member, posted this infamous meme in regards to this issue
Which resulted in Shandro and his wife, getting so butthurt over a meme (ffs) that they literally, yes literally as an elected official and minister, drove to the doctors house and proceeded to yell and berate him, in front of his family, over posting the meme on facebook.
This coined the term 'Shantrum', a term used for a thin skinned official who melts like a snowflake when the going gets tough or he is called out for his negligence, disrespect, and disdain for the province he promised to care for.. perfect term for @shandro.. he's a willow
And while the ethics commissioner said it wasn't a conflict of interest with his wife's company (),
The same day that Shandro cut back benefit coverage, Vital Partners had a blog, welcoming the move of course.. more $$ for them

BTW, this wasnt the last harassment shandro would impose onto private citizens - he, certainly unethically and likely illegally, obtained the PRIVATE cell numbers of two docs who criticized him, and called them up to intimidate them late at night.. wtaf?!! cbc.ca/news/canada/ca…
More evidence of his disdain & threatening nature, Shandro also threatened to use legislature security on citizens emailing him to ask questions and criticize on his perceived conflict of interest. Abhorrent but typical behavior for Shandro & the UCP.. ignore or threaten citizens
On evidence of Shandro's pure ineptitude & incompetence, in a May 31 presser of this year about a 200 page report/plan about transforming continuing care, Shandro & his terrible press sec completely failed to provide a tech briefing to the press. Watch the dumb look on his face
Here's the followup, calling him out on his incompetence. Much like Kenney, you can tell when he bumbles and stumbles around the question.. surprised he didnt ask where Dean Bennett lives to go and pay him a 'visit' at his driveway
In even more evidence of his negligence and lack of listening to experts, Shandro pushed for the consolidation of EMS, against the better judgement of many.
Lots of experts and people who knew this was a bad idea.. and typical UCP, never let a bad idea go to waste.. so Shandro pushed it through anyways
