4/ Am told @FalklandsGov are "perplexed and opposed" to the plan from Downing Street to house asylum seekers from the UK there, but as it will be done via the UK Military, they have little choice as an Overseas Territory.

A FCDO spokesperson told me when I put TCAP to them:

"The government told us to keep all options on the table to deal with illegal migration, and that is our position on this."

MORE BELOW

A source from Whitehall working on the scheme tells me, initial plans are to announce the overseas processing scheme TCAP the day prior to Parliament going into recess for Christmas.

Intense talks with Angola are still ongoing on details. *The Angolan government refused comment.

FYI to any journalist who covers this, this is an exclusive so please have the decency to cite me as I don't have a guaranteed income like yourselves.

The Third-Country Asylum Partnership goes against international law and is therefore a huge story.
