Just telling players to "fake more" doesn't work.

They need to see it, then do it. We got you covered with the "see it" part.

Here's 7 videos examples to help your players learn faster:πŸ§΅πŸ‘‡

1. In pressure moments, use fakes.

Defenders are quick to reach & fast to jump.

We call this shot-fake around the rim, an β€œarrum.” As in β€œair them.”

2. Your eyes are weapons.

Yes, you can use the ball to fake. Yes, you can use your body to deceive the defense.

But often, players don't realize how useful eyes-fakes are.

3. The quick fake before the lay-in.

While a bit advanced, it's learnable and definitely effective.

Give yourself more time and space around the rim by using fakes like this. πŸ‘‡

4. We call it the "double arrum."

One fake is good. But sometimes, especially around good shot-blockers β€” you need a 2nd fake to finish the play.

5. Fake with ball AND eyes.

Fakes are superpowers.

Sync up ball & eyes, and voila β€” defenders will magically run out of the way. πŸ‘‡

6. Paint touch fakes

The game slows down when you slow down. Especially against disorganized d, fake at the end of the paint touch.

Simplicity wins.

Watch closely at the :05 second mark. πŸ‘‡

7. The Chiropractor

An advanced fake that'll confuse a defender like you've never seen.

It'll make them turn their neck so hard they’ll need to see a chiropractor.

And a bonus (couldn't resist). Number 8.

Of course, your players aren't making this exact fake.

But it's the principle that matters. @KingJames moves his eyes and the ball.

It's believable β€” and it moves 2 defenders out of the way.

Best angles at :11 & :18 seconds. πŸ‘‡

Point is, fakes are under-taught & underused.

So follow this simple rule β€” fake more.

And the game will open up. Players will score more and create like never before.

Shoot, if your whole team does it, you'll win some games you probably shouldn't.
