Earlier this year Stop Funding Hate was the subject of a complaint to the CIC Regulator, alleging that our work was in breach of the law and amounted to “political” activity. This allegation was wholly unfounded and we are pleased to confirm that it has not been upheld. /1

In the past year, a wave of unfounded complaints have been made against civil society groups that have discussed contested issues. Alongside #StopFundingHate, Barnardos, the Runymede Trust & the National Trust have also been targeted. None of these complaints were upheld. /7
