ఈరోజు పీవీ నరసింహారావు గారి ౧౭వ వర్ధంతి. "పీవీ" గా, "పీవీఎన్నార్" గా మనందరికీ చిరపరిచితులైన పాములపర్తి వెంకట నరసింహారావు గారిని బహుముఖ ప్రజ్ఞాశాలి అనచ్చు అలాగే బహుముఖ మేధావి అని కూడా పిలవచ్చు ఎందుకంటే ఆయన అనేక రంగాల్లో మేధావి కనుక.
పీవీ నరసింహారావు గారు న్యాయవాది, పాత్రికేయుడు, నిజాంకి వ్యతిరేకంగా పోరాడిన స్వాతంత్ర సమరయోధుడు, భారత రాజకీయాల్లో తలపండిన దురంధురుడు. ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ ముఖ్యమంత్రిగా సేవలు అందించిన ఆయన భారతదేశ ప్రధాని పదవిని అలంకరించిన ఏకైక తెలుగు వ్యక్తి.
తన రాజనీతితో అపర చాణక్యుడిగా పేరొందిన ఆయనను భారతదేశ ఆర్థిక సంస్కరణల పితామహుడిగా కూడా పరిగణిస్తారు. పీవీ గారి సాహితీ అన్వేషణ గమనిస్తే ఆయన బహుభాషా కోవిదుడు, పదిహేడు భాషలు మాట్లాడగలరు. అనేక పుస్తకాల్ని రాశారు, అనువాద రచనలు చేశారు.
"కవి సమ్రాట్" విశ్వనాథ సత్యనారాయణ గారు రాసిన సుప్రసిద్ధ తెలుగు నవల "వేయిపడగలు"ను హిందీలోకి "సహస్రఫణ్" గా తర్జుమా చేశారు. వీరు ఆంగ్లంలో రచించిన ఆత్మకథాత్మక నవల "ద ఇన్సైడర్" చాలా ప్రఖ్యాతిగాంచింది. ఈ పుస్తకమే తెలుగులోకి "లోపలి మనిషి" గా అనువాదమయ్యింది.
అట్లాగే ఆయన తెలుగులో లిఖించిన "మంగయ్య అదృష్టం" అనే నవలిక, "గొల్ల రామవ్వ" అనే కథ చాలా ప్రసిద్ధిగాంచాయి.
ఇలా న్యాయవాదిగా, పాత్రికేయుడిగా, భారతదేశ స్వాతంత్ర ఉద్యమకర్తగా, రాజకీయ నాయకుడిగా, బహుభాషా భాషిగా, సాహితీవేత్తగా ఎన్నో విశిష్ట పాత్రలను పోషించి చరిత్ర పుటల్లో సుస్థిర స్థానాన్ని సంపాదించుకున్న ఆయన్ను ఈనాడు భారతదేశానికి చెందిన అత్యున్నత ప్రధానుల్లో ఒకరిగా గుర్తిస్తారు,
ఇరవైవ శతాబ్దపు తెలుగు మహనీయుల జాబితాలో మొదటి వరసలో ఉంచుతారు. ఇటువంటి మహానుభావుడు మన తెలుగువారు కావడం మన అదృష్టం. పీవీ గారంటే ఎందరికో గౌరవం మరెందరికో గర్వకారణం. మన తెలుగుబిడ్డ స్వర్గీయ పీవీ నరసింహారావు గారిని వారి వర్ధంతి సందర్భంగా స్మరించుకుందాం.
ఆయన వలె జిజ్ఞాసను, మేధోసంపత్తిని అతి ముఖ్యంగా తెలుగు భాషాభిమానాన్ని, సాహిత్యాభిలాషను పెంపొందించుకుందాం. జై తెలుగు తల్లి.
Today is the 17th vardhanthi (death anniversary) of P.V. Narasimha Rao garu. Pamulaparthi Venkata Narasimha Rao (popularly known as "PV" and "PVNR") was a multifaceted personality and genius. He was a renowned expert and unquestionably brilliant in various fields.
P.V. Narasimha Rao garu was a lawyer, journalist, statesman in India's political arena and also a freedom fighter who fought against Nizam's oppression. Apart from being the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, he was the one and only Telugu Prime minister of India.
He is regarded as "Apara Chanakya" for his political acumen and "The Father of Indian Economic Reforms." Highlighting his literary and linguistic brilliance, he was a scholar in multiple languages and spoke 17 languages. He wrote several books and translated some literary works.
He translated "Kavi Samrat" Viswanatha Satyanarayana's renowned Telugu novel "Veyi Padagalu" into Hindi as "Sahasraphan." His hugely popular semi-autobiographical English novel "The Insider" was translated into Telugu as "Lopali Manishi."
His Telugu novella "Mangayya Adrushtam" and short story "Golla Ramavva" are also well-known.
Undeniably, he indeed played various diverse distinguished roles as a lawyer, journalist, Indian independence activist, politician, polyglot, litterateur therefore earning an everlasting place in the annals of history.
Even till today, he is recognized as one of the finest Prime ministers of India and one of the greatest Telugu legends of the 20th century. He is truly the pride of Telugu people.
On his vardhanthi, we honour the legacy of our Telugu bidda, Late P.V. Narasimha Rao garu as an irreplaceable icon and a star whose inquisitiveness, intellectualism and love for Telugu language and literature will continue to inspire generations to come. Jai Telugu Thalli.
