THREAD: December Public Delivery Meeting

Yesterday @seanodiggity & I presented the most consequential developments in the history of our project

In this thread, I'll break it down

Last week, we hit our Phase 2 funding target of 167k and launched Phase 3, where we will raise an additional 500k to complete the service delivery of the product. More details about this later.

Incidentally, to celebrate Phase 3 I got some cool new graphic templates :P

In terms of general campaign progress, we're ecstatic to have the final goalposts in sight and will work to meet the final target as fast as possible.

In the meantime, we are progressing the blockchain build & performing the BETA delivery vetting for our first 5,000 users

Now comes the super news:

A functioning Panquake 1.0 interface exists & exceeds our wildest hopes

Built to spec, based on 120 pages of UI/UX design docs primarily authored by yours truly, our devs are integrating as they code, dramatically reducing the build timeframe

That means all the cool UI innovation we've promised all year: drag and drop panels, on a malleable canvas (single-view dashboard), dynamically updating content, etc etc is now in play.

We expect to have a fully functioning demo circa end of Feb

Now for the 2nd enormous piece of news:

The Panquake dev team have built & are releasing an AMAZING first-of-its-kind search & report tool to help targets of #WLDragnet social media mass surveillance download unique reports of their data

100% FOR FREE anyone can use wldragnet.com to search on targeted Twitter accounts & generate custom reports.

This is investigative journalism taken to the next level

The site conforms to Panquake ethical design standards. Doesn't capture, log or store your data

Here are a few examples of results using my Twitter account, @wikileaks, @Snowden & @LeeCamp as examples.

If you type any of our handles into the search tool then click "Download my report", you'll be able to see the results in a clean & beautiful downloadable PDF template

This is the first time I'm aware of that victims of social media surveillance and targeting are able to - in only 2 clicks - scan a large dataset & download custom reports evidencing their targeting

This should be award winning work! I'll be sure to keep checking the post :P

But in all seriousness, accolades or not, this is vitally important work and also evidences for the public the sophistication of the design and development skills of the Panquake dev team.

Once we're done break testing the tool, the codebase will be released publicly, FOSS

Moving along, as we do every month we released our @tl_eng stats

Subscribers & conversion rate up; opening rate still high

We also announced we've hit pause on foreign language TL accounts as they had no paid subs & we need our translation team to work on the Panquake app

(In the future once we have the Panquake translation work is a wrap and we have enough of a foreign language presence to adequately attract non-English audiences, we'll resume the TL foreign language publications)

So next steps for the campaign - with Phase 1 and Phase 2 complete, and application development speeding along at a brilliant pace, it's time to fundraise, fundraise, fundraise.
