One of the only moderately humorous parts of 1/6 was watching Greenwald & Tracey's 'the Libs are being hysterical about the threat of violence' narrative get destroyed in real time.

Here's @mtracey:

"Haha low energy rioting, amirite?"

2 minutes later, a brief moment of realization that he goofed up.

"uhh ok I uhh guess it's just a little more energetic now."

And then after a brief quiet he just went righttt back to tone-policing 'the not-a-coup you hysterical libs' narrative (instead of just saying, 'I was wrong'), even as it was taking place in front of everyone's eyes. Such a good little not-a-Trumper.

Meanwhile his mentor Glenn was just doing his normal anti-anti-Dem shtick that day. His last tweet before everything went down was a good ol' whatabouting of the Dems (the real coup plotters).

And then the dam broke and the violence started and for some odd reason, even though he was doing all
English tweets that day, he just randomly started tweeting about it solely in Portuguese lol

(longtime Glem-heads will remember this as one of his favorite tics).

And then a(n convenient) hour of complete silence followed by a sputtering, 'uhh herr well how did the Deep State fail so badly? That's the real story here.'

And that was all the tweeting Glem (who'd been tweeting up a storm beforehand) would do the entire day of Jan. 6.

It's no wonder that they're both so insistent on playing down the events in/around 1/6; they realized they were wrong in real time, but like the rest of their GOP allies, just pivoted right back to owning the Libs, like it never even happened.
Now that's what I call #vindicated!
