Today is the death anniversary /Punyatithi of the great Hindu emperor Gajapati Kapilendradeva . He died on this day on the banks of river Krishna. He was born in a Suryamansi Kshatriya family who was serving as a general before ascended the throne.

The Emperor who never lost a single war in his entire life and devoted his whole life to the cause of Hindus. Even Odia language was recognized as the official language of present Odisha during his tenure.Which indicates being a selfrespecting Odia.There were some Khandayats,

Ministers and some of his grandsons were present inside an army cantonment on the banks of river Krishna on that Day. There was pain in everyone's heart and moisture in the eyes. Gajapati Maharaja's eyes were closing slowly.

All the Khandayats were chanting the victory of their beloved Gajapati Maharaj whom they liked more than their life. Every Chatas and Bhatas were singing-
