I wonder if state investment funds were being guided to funds & companies that did dirty deeds for the Swampy politicians who approved the deals?
There are lots of similar cases in other states like Pennsylvania, where teachers' pension funds were invested in a shell company for Glencore doing swampy oil deals with Kurdish politicians.
And Republican Swamp creature Elliott Broidy, who Trump's DOJ convicted for a failed plot to bribe Trump on behalf of President Xi of China, was involved in orrupt pension fund deals in NY state & California.
