Today marks the #InternationalDayOfEducation. Education is a fundamental human right, a cornerstone for inclusive, peaceful and democratic societies and essential for sustainable development. This is what education looks like at #Kalobeyei refugee settlement in #Kenya.
Two students carry a desk into Future Primary School in Kalobeyei, Kenya which is home to around 42,000 people, half of whom are primary-aged children or younger.
Jeanet Niyogusenga, from Burundi, in one of the school's eight cooks. She stirs a pot of maize and beans as she cooks lunch for around 3,000 who attend classes at Future Primary.

Martin Albino Ayyiro (50) has been teaching for 26 years and was one of the best teachers in Torit, where he lived in South Sudan before fleeing to Kenya.
Opening in October 2021 and supported by @FCA_global, the teacher training college offers a university diploma in education to refugee teachers.
Mawut Wwor Chol (32) sits in a class at the teacher training college close to the Kakuma refugee camp in Kenya. He is one of the first students to attend classes at the college. Originally from Ethiopia he fled to Kakuma with his younger brother when he was fourteen.
