Recently hearing people complain about how tired they are of #COVID19 has been frustrating. For 22 months I’ve grieved the loss of my #HealthcareHero husband. I’ve helped my daughter grieve the loss of her Daddy (Papa). I’ve become a solo parent and adjusted to a new life.🧵

I’ve been asked “Did he have an underlying health condition?” I’ve heard people complain about how masks are ruining their lives, while covid ruined mine (a mask does not ruin your life…losing someone you love to covid does). @kdurquiza @Tara_Swanigan @A_shot_of_Ri @itsmefi

I’ve seen how HCW’s & their families have been forgotten. I’ve seen how the children who lost a parent/caregiver have been ignored. @Cleavon_MD @drjessigold @CTZebra @DrEricDing @drbreenheroes @Jerri3dz @chrisjkocher @NickGuthe @DanRather @PoppyHarlowCNN @JanethNunezdelP @POTUS

I’ve been told that my husband didn’t die of covid and that the hospital was paid to lie to me about his cause of death. I’ve heard people say covid is a hoax. I’ve heard people say it’s just like the flu. @dianaberrent @anniegowen @thewanreport @Ricekmc @DrMarjorieRobe1 @VP

I’ve been told that my story & my family are fake & being used to scare people. My story is very real, my family is very real, my pain, heartache & grief are very real. My daughter’s grief is very real and the fact my children have to grow up without their dad is very real.

You know what? I’m tired of the lack of empathy that so many people have. I’m tired of hearing all these hurtful things as I try to move forward with my life. So for those of you complaining be grateful COVID didn’t impact your life & family like it’s done to so many. @covid_loss
