This afternoons stroll starts in the Wiltshire village of Edington #Wiltshire
This is Ralph’s seat. I don’t know who Ralph is / was but it’s a nice spot view a view over Edington Priory @MyFaveBench
On the edge of the village I see a reminder of how many miles we are from London, before heading up Salisbury Hollow. A stretch of tarmac soon gives way to a steep gravel byway leading up to Salisbury Plain.
Catching my breath while looking across to the tree clump which covers a Neolithic long barrow - Tinhead Hill
The view from up stretches across to Oliver’s Castle and Roundway Down in the distance
The vast expanse of the Imber Range on Salisbury Plain
Final stop before heading back into Edington. The natural amphitheatre of Luccombe Bottom #Wiltshire
Heading back down to Edington Priory now to search for a curious cherub 👼
And here is the very curious cherub, which has two right hands. As a lefty should I be offended? Great afternoons walk, with hills, views, solitude, history. So lucky to live in this part of Wiltshire
