Today we did some gross science (aka, the best kind): a demo/model of the digestive system using bananas, graham crackers, water, vinegar, food colouring, plastic bags, pantyhose, absorbent towels, and trays. Or, as your kids will tell you I’m sure, “Today in class we made poo!”

Stomach contents with acid and bile (slight cheating acknowledged here, for ease of mixing) added followed by more mixing/digesting action
Time for the small intestine to do its thing! Ewwwwwww!
The large intestine absorbs liquids, so it's time to roll up and squeeze! (We did follow up with a discussion about the similarities and differences between the model and real life!)
And the grand finale they've *all* been waiting for... 😂😂😂💩
While we were cleaning up, a student asked: "Mme, est-ce que je peux aller à la toilette?" and then burst out laughing with "How am I going to ask that and not visualize this every time now??" #missionaccomplished
