1\ We do live in a state that will absolutely steal and plant guns to discredit people. I did call this in one of my earlier tweets. Read the McDonald Commission Report. Read up on Threat Reduction. CSIS/RCMP 'Disruption' tactics. Familiarize yourself with these words.
2\ There are a few countries capable of carrying out a plausibly deniable theft of firearms in order to destabilize the situation in Canada. Russia, India, China, the United States, Israel to name a few-- our friends, trading partners and allies maybe, but it's sure possible.
3\ I'm not saying the convoy is NOT a rowdy white nationalist mob absolutely capable of gleefully arming themselves, but if the guns turn up and the military is called in or people die, remember, Russia isn't the only country capable of creating pretext. This could end in horror.
4\ Basically my entire career has been built on understanding this specific moment in Canadian history. With 2,000 guns in the churn, we're not out of the woods yet. Best case scenario? Feds are planting them so that they can "discover" the cache later to justify charges. 🕵️
5\ That is, if they haven't been bundled into the back of 50 cars after parking one-by-one behind a strip mall or something. At least Ottawa police are worried about guns in the boot of these vehicles, and not Pierre LaPorte.
6\ These are dangerous weapons, but some countries (Israel) consider the .22 caliber to be 'less than lethal' when used against extremities. These aren't assault weapons, or military grade. They elevate the threat level to 'lethal' without tipping the scale against the state.
7\ And if there is a pile of insurrectionary arms distributed to the uh, "revolution", then they're going to need a name we can use. Reports state there's 2000-3000 of them. They're 22s. It's 2022. I humbly suggest calling them the "The Twenty Twenty-Twos" 2022s
8\ I said this before, I'll say this again, there are direct political linkages between Savage Arms, the Conservative Party, and the convoy. Leaving 2000+ guns in a trailer to be stolen is just a BIT beyond the definition of 'negligent'. Where were the guns going?
