CAHN actually grew out of my antifascist work, on the back of thousands of hours of unwaged consulting, but CBC wound up using those stills from Russian state media to credit them for my work 2 weeks after having me fired from CJFE for criticizing Israel's killing of journalists. The earliest involvement of the org's future director at a Canadian protest was May 6, 2017 (where I got assaulted by the JDL). Evan Balgord showed up because my April 1st video had gone viral. Hey look, a bloc of right wing/elite backed candidates had a BIA hosted debate in my favorite sci fi bar. Weird choice, and not a cheap one either. Nothing says "qualified for public service" quite like a place with $20 cocktails. Don't get me wrong, they're GREAT cocktails, but anyone not campaigning exclusively for the urban elite might have trouble coaxing working class constituents into showing up at an expensive theme club. Makes sense, nearly nothing in western arsenals since ww2 fully fills the capability gap of short range, armoured multirole SPAA. US kit is missile based. ZSU doctrine will involve the, well, ZU-23-2/ZSU Shilka, etc. USA pretends M2 or Vulcan are enough but Gepard is king. From Twitter yesterday, these soldiers are using a ZU-23 in a direct fire role. They are exposed, in a soft truck. A Gepard firing 35mm HE shells would have a whole different vibe. There is, unfortunately a bit of a bottleneck for all types of ammo.

Imagine being evicted over a "maintenance fee dispute" having your condo seized, your possessions rifled and then being PUBLICLY SHAMED for how much food delivery you got during a global pandemic, a homebound lifestyle and relatively minor squalor. narcity.com/toronto/a-toro… This is nightmare fuel.
