Daily numbers of patients admitted to hospital (Don't think this distinguishes from the "for" or "with")
7 day average was ~2000/day 1 month ago, decreased to ~1300/day (Feb 8th)
Lowest since Pre-Christmas.
3/ UK Hospital Census
Daily count of confirmed COVID-19 patients in hospital.
Was ~19,500 1 month ago, latest numbers ~12,000.
4/ UK - Critical Care
Daily count of COVID-19 patients in Mechanical Ventilation beds.
~700 1 month ago, now below 400.
lowest in 7 months, (early July, 2021)
5) UK - Deaths
This data doesn't distinguish between whether the patient passed away from COVID or from another cause.
Regardless though, the trend is declining as all other metrics.
~60% decrease in the last month
Summary:
Despite removing restrictions, the impact on healthcare system has continued to lighten.
Transmission cannot be eliminated.
We are transitioning to a period where we need to decide for ourselves & families what our risk tolerance is.
Will require patience.
