ALFA:
Mr. Fritsch, this is an email with Matthew Mosk, dated October 24. And you say, Are you able to send me whatever Alfa, Trump and Mandiant have sent you. I want to see if Laura [Seago] and the Krypt3ia blogger can unpack their explanations.

ALFA:
So it says, Any idea what he's talking about regarding encrypted emails? And your response is, No, but the email traffic cited by those Tea Leaves folks. So you refer to the Tea Leaves folks in the plural, correct? Who are you referring to when you say Tea Leaves folks?

ALFA:
So if you keep reading, it says, Those Tea Leaves folks almost certainly would have been encrypted. You don't reconfigure a mail server to make MX look-ups look like a look-up and then plant a tor exit node on someone's server and then not encrypt the email.

ALFA:
Can you explain the text of your email in layperson's terms? Was this in fact an explanation that was provided to you from the Tea Leaves folks? Do you speak in such technical terms? Did you understand that the Trump or Alfa servers had been reconfigured from a mail server?

ALFA:
What is a Tor exit node? What did you mean when you said it had been planted on someone's server? Did you think this was part of a ruse to make it look like there were communications that did not actually exist? Did you understand the Tor exit node was on Spectrum's system?
