Winter war begun by staged shelling of Russian 🇷🇺 village Mainila -by Russians- and was followed by Stalin’s unprovoked attack.

The Winter war lasted for 105 days and Russia lost ~150.000 KIA and missing, six (6) times Finnish casualties. Over 400.000 people (12% of 🇫🇮 population) had to evacuated west from Karelia.

During the Winter war Finnish Air Force grew by 50% with aircrafts supplied mainly by UK 🇬🇧 and France 🇫🇷. Finland lost 59 plans, Russia between 600-900.
