I get it now. This is why so far in the US, harm-reduction has been limited to naloxone, a few needle exchanges, and Good Samaritan law. JFC

Let me get this straight: A perceived social justice movement was the Trojan-horse for old white power being allowed to dilute the true meaning of “harm-reduction”. Imagine a prohibitionist being nominated by a harm-reduction group to lead ONDCP.
And Harm Reduction Coalitions policy director Daniel Raymond, on C-Span in 2016 endorsing the 2016 CDC guidelines. “We’ve been too generous with opioids painkillers.”
Also Daniel Raymond from Harm Reduction Coalition : “We can’t keep writing prescriptions for opioids when there are better ways to manage pain”. I guess attending that cdc meeting made him an expert on pain.🤔
But by all means, in the same interview advocate for unlimited MAT…

This speaks for itself. Considering Botticelli had joined the rx war group Rummler Hope/FedUP 3 yrs earlier, it’s safe to say some of the MD blaming moms (apparently with a lot of money/power) were also infiltrating and influencing this space.
The last 2 screenshots show there WAS concern within the group about how these ppl were influencing/changing harm-reduction. This is so hard b/c these ppl like MB are so powerful, and if they come in endorsing certain aspects of harm reduction, I can see how ppl could compromise.
