The Senate Health bill analysis is out for #SB1464, a bill introduced by @DrPanMD that would defund local law enforcement unless they do exactly what public health agencies tell them to do.
It has almost no support, but tons of opposition.

First, what is in #SB1464? Here is part of it.
Even LA County’s sheriff’s department would have lost funding had this been law last year.
Who would have received that funding instead? County health departments.

Only two groups and just two individuals expressed support for #SB1464. Two!
Over 40 groups and over 1,600 individuals oppose the bill. Tons!
But who are those two groups in support?
/ 3
The first is @protectustwt, the bill’s sponsor. This is a shill group created by none other than Pan himself. Pan is doing a joint fundraiser for them this Thursday afternoon. He’s also given them at least $100k from his campaign accounts.

The other is @OfficersHealth (HOAC). Their board is made up from many counties that oppose #SB1464.
If you see your health officer on the list, you should probably ask your county supervisors about your county’s health officer’s support.

It gets worse w/ HOAC. They appear to be funded by local tax dollars.
This would mean cities & counties are funding an organization actively working against their citizens, to strip funding from local law enforcement, and give it to the health depts.
