150 cows, bulls kept for illegal slaughter at the Graveyard Street, Alipur, Manchenhalli PS limits, Chickbellapur. Cattle, their hides, blood, organs spotted in close proximity to the PS.

Are the police sleeping? Need immediate action to rescue gauvansh.

The activity is going on near 4 mosques in the area. Our team has reached the ground with police officials, however, cattle have started to be whisked away from other spots due to lax police action.

This laxity in action is despite Sections 2(2) and 4 of Karnataka Prevention of Cow Slaughter and Cattle Preservation Act, 2020 expressly prohibiting cow and bull slaughter.

The police and volunteers were attacked by groups of women in burqas who pelted stones earlier while the police raided the area for the gauvansh.

The women are now screaming at and harassing cops for the operation, obstructing them from doing their duty.

Mob led by burqa clad women gathering, threatening of violence and obstructing @Karnatakapolice for their action against brutality on, and illegal slaughter of gaumatas and nandis. Are they above the law?

The condition in which we found these Nandis and Gaumatas hoarded for illegal slaughter 👇

Mob has gathered, they have broken the vacuum pipe of one of the trucks in which rescued gauvansh were loaded - brakes have been failed. Volunteers and cops surrounded by the mob. @CMofKarnataka @DgpKarnataka @Karnatakapolice

Mob pelts stones at police vehicle seating cops and our volunteers who complained about cruelty on, illegal hoarding of and illegal slaughter of gauvansh in #Karnataka.

Brave action by Chikbellapura police! All gauvansh and volunteers are out safely. We thank the police for rescuing the gauvansh and our volunteers from the murderous mob. @spcbpura @Karnatakapolice
