In Kukdol village, 8-km away from Khargone, home of Abdul Hamid, a sightless, was attacked on "suspension" of sheltering rioters.

As a section of mob was assaulting the family to chant JSR inside the home, Balram was trying to make an LPG cylinder explode, victim’s family alleged.

After 3-day of treatment, they were discharged from the hospital. While Hamid stay in Khargone fearing life, Reyaz, Hamid's brother-in-law, returned to village as his family of 6 has no place to go.

Among 3500 voters, the village has only three Muslim families, who have been living in the village for over a century, said Reyaz.
"We never had a fight. This was the first in history," claimed Reyaz who lives in a tiny one room house with a family of 6. He is facing boycott.

When news of the boycott travelled to the Khargone district authorities, they deployed a police personnel in the village and urged Reyaz to buy groceries from other stores in Khargone or nearby villages.

To verify the claim of boycott, when I tried to meet deputy sarpanch Saudan Kalan, a young man stopped to “verify” identity. He turn out Balram Rajpoot, main accused in Hamid's FIR.
Balram introduced himself as a representative of @gajendra4bjp, Barwani Lok Sabha MP.

Prem Singh Chouhan and Balram told their own version of the story.
"A few villagers have gone to verify the suspicion, but they started pelting stones at us.” Asked how they knew the family was sheltering rioters, Balram said, “We got calls, but we don’t know the names. ++
While this reporter was leaving the village, Balram said, “If any Muslim comes into our village to do business or anything else, it’s a Hindu Rashtra, we will beat them up.”
When I flagged to cops about Balram on April 16, SP Rohit Keswani assured for action.
Following day, SP Keswani said, “Balram has been sent to jail. We have provided protection to the families and & looking for the other accused.”
