In Madhya Pradesh’s #Khargone, anti-Muslim violence that emanated from Ram Navami processions on 10 April left a trail of destruction for the Muslim community.

Rashida Bi’s house along with the houses of 21 Muslim families were razed to the ground in broad daylight by BJP controlled govt authorities in April 2020. This was followed an anti-Muslim violence unleashed by Hindutva groups against these Muslims during a Ram Navami possession

A plastic factory of Arif Sufi was set on fire by Hindutva mob on 15 April midnight. Everything in the factory were burnt into ashes. Arif says to Maktoob he is in loss of at least four to five million lacs Indian rupee and his only means of earning has gone forever.

Mohsin Khan had only one source of income: his mobile shop. On 11 April, the shop was demolished in the Madhya Pradesh BJP-led government’s “anti-encroachment” drive in Khargone.

Mohammad Nadeem Shaikh, a 36-year-old resident of Gulshan Nagar, was sleeping in his house with his family when he heard his house being demolished. In the presence of many police officials and other functionaries, his house was being razed to the ground by a JCB.

Mubarik Bi, is a resident of Khargone, Madhya Pradesh. Mubarik Bi’s house was looted by Hindutva mob. "My neighbours were involved in rioting" she said.

Twenty-eight-year-old Ibris Khan went missing on 10 April evening when Hindutva violence broke out during a Ram Navami procession in Madhya Pradesh’s Khargone. A week after on 17 April, his family discovered his body 120 kilometres away at the M.Y. Hospital morgue, in Indore.

While the post-mortem report states that Ibris died of severe head injuries, Ibris’s wife and family members have accused the police and the Hindu rioters of being involved in the killing of Ibris.

In Anand Nagar, a Hindu mob in carrying swords attacked this old Muslim lady, Mehroon and tried to slash her face; when the other lady, Zubeda tried to stop them, they turned their swords against her too. They both ended up being physically hurt.

A series of anti Muslim violence occurred at Khargone, a small town the state of Madhya Pradesh in India. 22 families houses were razed to the ground in broad daylight.

Dozens of Muslim houses and Bikes were set on fire by Hindutva rioters on 10 April at Kazipura, Gaushala.

Shazia Begum lost her house and money in the anti-Muslim violence unleashed by Hindu mob at Kazipura Gaushala Marg in Khargone.

Hafiz Mohammad Shaheed who owns a truck was brutally beaten by Hindutva rioters on 10 April at Talab Chowk area in Khargone. Hafis said to Maktoob that his vehicles were vandalised bu the mob.

Amina had her bakery near Talab Chowk in Khargone. It was demolished by the government authorities. Amina said to Maktoob that her husband was framed by the police in the cases of violence and she lives in a rented accommodation now. “We are in a devastated condition,”Amina said.
