1) apartment block fire Over 3 hours since I saw it ignite and called the fire brigade. Parts of the walls now completely destroyed. Multiple flats on fire. probably near 100 firefighters here. #deptford #greenwich @LondonFire

2) I live opposite in Greenwich Creekside. We have flammable cladding and our flats are worthless and unsellable because Adriatic Land (the OWNERS of freehold) won’t pay. Which is why I am posting evidence of this fire, I wouldn’t normally film an event like this.

3) #londonfirebrigade now cutting the edging off the building which seemed to be furnacing the heat earlier (I believe it is metal). Two cherrypickers with multiple fighters using oxygen. 3 hours and 20 mins in now.

4) firefighters now on the roof HACKING with claw axes at the roof surface. The entrance to the balcony area which opens from communal stairwell has now caved in. Firefighters in oxygen tanks completely encased in smoke plumes. #deptford #greenwich west #london

5)south London apartment block fire now into its 4th hour #deptford #greenwich creek road. Some more photos of the firefighters at work. Also shots from my roof terrace for an elevated angle. Horrific amount of noxious fumes and billowing smoke.

6) I live in greenwich creekside and my neighbours opposite on Creek Road are on fire. We are owned by Adriatic Land 5 and we have FLAMMABLE CLADDING AND THEY WONT PAY FOR IT TO BE FIXED. They have their business affairs run out of guernsey because they are slippery eels.

7) Slippery eels don’t catch on fire they are too wet and slimy. Unsafe apartment blocks, however, go up like matches. Adriatic Land 5 and other large #freeholders are one accident away from blood on their eel hands. #deptfordfire #greenwichfire #londonfire

8) more photos from a different angle courtesy of @LouDiamond_no7 Deptford / Greenwich London apartment block fire. Freeholders beware your day will come!

9) 5 hours of continuous fire. The residents were told fire brigade expect it would burn for 6-12 hours. The builders that were working at the flats are nowhere to be seen, they didn’t stick around to see their handiwork.

10) apartment fire still going in deptford/greenwich on creek road - air quality in flats further away than mine (windows shut vents closed) apparently the PM2 level is dangerously high.

11) due to the unsafe #airquality I decided to take my cat and stay at a friends. Reports of babies coughing in our block made me worry about his little lungs. Settling in nearby New Cross nicely. Smell of smoke has reached here though. #cattherapy

an awful day in south London. our thoughts our with our neighbours who have lost their homes or possessions today. We are lucky to have escaped the nasty fumes and are now staying our friend. Final thought from today: Fire fighters are very brave!
