Was the attack on 'misinformation' successful?
Yes - and it followed an utterly predictable pattern.
It has come in 6 waves, mostly since the start of 2021, when it became clear that their initial efforts had not succeeded.
Waves 3-5 were responses to unfavorable findings

Wave 3: the rejection of the WHO Report
W4: the release of Fauci's emails
W5: the release of EHA's grant progress reports & DRASTIC's release/analysis of the DEFUSE proposal
W6 was a more proactive response to Ukraine, M0dernaGate, etc.

The categories like 'Proximals,' & 'Lanceteers' refer to the authors & attendees of the 2/1 & 2/3 meetings, which spawned "Proximal Origin of SARS-CoV-2" & the Lancet letter, resp. [#1]
They were incredibly industrious, & they had help from science writers & journos [#2]
