(2/6) The Black Horse Squadron's main weapon will be the FGM 148 #Javelin - you've probably heard of it.
With optical and #thermal sights, It can lock onto and destroy #tanks up to 4km away, either in direct or ‘Top Attack’ mode.

(3/6) They will also have the NLAW and LASM for closer quarters or in complex terrain.
With a range of 20-800m, NLAW can also #target the sides or top of enemy #tanks.
LASM is an unguided rocket, effective against lightly armoured vehicles or structures up to 200m.

(4/6) The Anti-Tank sqn will initially operate a combination of armoured vehicle variants, while they await Ajax's arrival.
They will train together in barracks and on ranges, but will often deploy in #Combat Teams with #Infantry from @5Rifles and @FirstFusiliers

(5/7) The Anti-Tank sqn will become the Regiment’s experts in studying and recognising enemy #vehicles (AFV rec).
They will also be the Regiment's specialists in #fighting in woods and forests (FIWAF), training the rest of the sqns when required.

(6/7) The Anti-Tank sqn will also contain the Regimental Pipes & Drums–our ceremonial #musicians.
#Combat soldiers first and foremost, they are our infantry dismounts. Completing the tough 6 mo course with @Corpsarmymusic, they are also qualified as a Piper/Drummer.
