I’ve been at @mediaprodshow @mojofest
A handful of ideas pointed:
▶️ By 2030 everyone will wear AR glasses, a real computer
AR is a powerful tool to tell immersive stories
@weareseen_ by @YusufOmarSA and @snap_sumaiya empower people to use it to tell their stories
▶️ A serious story can make a viral video.
TikTok can be a propper platform for important stories.
Don’t address TikTok audience the way journalists tell news in tv
@sophiasgaler @VICEWorldNews
▶️ Working as a one man band, be aware:
🟢 You don’t need to master every role but…
🟢 You need to be ready to wear different hats
🟢Be mindful of your strengths and weakness
🟢keep curious (and keep learning)

#mojo is not just about the smartphone, it’s an ecosystem
It comprises any camera device that adds to the story and don’t interfere with it.
@GlenBMulcahy, founder and organiser @mojofest @Mobile_Creators
Legacy of pandemic is a good one or #mojo
We have overcome the debate about quality
“At @BBC now it is completely accepted. We are broadcasting more and more stories and investing on kits
“We have a real commitment now with it”
Declan Wilson, head of TV & Online BBC England
Mobile is the best tool to navigate the ongoing changes in #broadcasting industry
Any traditional cam can do a better job for broadc.
But smartphone can do more things. So they meet the increasing requirements of the industry better than the traditional devices
@philipbromwell
When talking about quality, there are more aspects involved than technical quality: story, storytelling, content recorded…
Mobile is quality in the right hands
@markeganvideo @Mobile_Creators #mojo @mediaprodshow
@Rob_Layton: Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) are opening new possibilities both in filming and editing with mobile devices: smart HDR, synthetic bokeh, night mode, automated edition & masking, background erasing…

And new apps benefit from these innovations, that make easier (and more creative) journalists’ work
Fortunately Mojofest has @MarcSettle to keep us updated.
A bit thank to him for that!
Among the 30 apps review in 30 minutes, there were Multires, MegaPhoto, IntroMate and more
Filming good quality is key but just the first step
It’s useless if it doesn’t get to the (cloud) newsroom in high res, with metadata
And if it is not archived properly so it can be found or reused later
Mimojo.com is a new tool presented by @Mick_reed to help
This is not over… I will come back with more….
#mojo @mojofestival @mediaprodshow
Vertical filming is getting more important as young people consume most content on phones
But turning a landscape story into a vertical one is challenging
9:16 filming has its own language (framing, angles, layers)
It needs planning, storybording
@konstantinosant @mojofest
What’s true in times of deep fake?
“Instead of guessing what’s fake we can prove what’s true”
@BrightwellKate @Adobe on CAI, open project involving media & tech companies
It’ll keep content metadata all over the workflow so it can be authenticated
Being tested in @Photoshop
Jack Hollingsworth @photojack:
Every pic you take on any device is a combination of tech, timing, training, tools, talent & technique
Journalist should take care more about the artistic part of their work (cannot quote as I didn’t write the exact words. Still its a great tip)
At @mojofest 2022 @mediaprodshow we’ve heard interesting tips and ideas on #mojo
But the only and one came from @MikeCastellucci
Technology changes but the story prevails and remains being the key (no quotation)
And yes, tell a story. Don’t just tell figures and details
